GravBot: Isaac Newton Would Be Proud

“No great discovery was ever made without a bold guess" - Sir Isaac Newton. (He's referring to GravBot of course!)

Physics puzzlers are no stranger to the AppStore, some of the most memorable titles include 'Ragdoll Physics', 'Angry Birds', and 'Cut the Rope'. Well after playing 'GravBot' by Team Phobic (Guys behind the Bounce On series) we decided that GravBot should be among the top puzzle games on the AppStore. Combining new and unique gameplay mechanics with great level design, Team Phobic have made a game that would make even Sir Isaac Newton blush.

In GravBot, you control the little robot (We shall name him Drallo for this review, in honor of Bounce On 2) and your objective is to collect all the batteries in the level. To do this you have a 5-button control scheme. The buttons on the left side of the screen control your left and right movement. The buttons on the right side of the screen allow you to switch the orientation of the level, altering the gravity, and allowing you to maneuver any which way you please.

The levels can get pretty complicated but usually are pretty short. It only took about 45 mins to complete the 12 included levels. However thats not to say the game is not fun. It's one of the more original titles on the AppStore and a new favorite of mine.

The game includes 12 levels (7 of which are tutorials) and 2 DLC packages that add 20 new levels each. Each DLC package costs $0.99 USD and contains 20 levels. It is also retina enhanced for all your iPod Touch 4th gen and iPhone 4 owners out there. The game is available on the AppStore for free so go pick it up!
